Lathrop strives to be a military-friendly school. We want to help make your transition in our schools as smooth as possible and provide you up-to-date information while you are here! 

Twenty-seven percent (27%) of Lathrop High School's student body is comprised of military-connected students.
We have Lathrop military families that are serving on active-duty at Eielson AFB and Fort Wainwright, AK Air Guard, AK National Guard,  DoD personnel, AAFES, and Military Retirees!

School Military Family Life Counselor (MFLC)

The Department of Defense has provided a Military Family Life Counselor (MFLC) at Lathrop High School.
The School MFLC provides brief, solution-focused, non-medical counseling to active military and their families.

• The School MFLC is a licensed clinician.
• Interactions with your teen and/or family are kept in the strictest confidence.
• No records are kept.

A Parent/Legal Guardian Acknowledgement And Consent Letter For Child And Youth Behavioral Military And Family Life Counseling Services must be signed prior to the school MFLC working with any teen directly. The acknowledgement can be printed off, be available from the School MFLC, or can be acquired at the school counseling office. Signing this acknowledgement signifies that the parent has read the information regarding the services that the School MFLC provides and gives the MFLC permission to interact with their teen should a need arise for support.

Tutor.com for U.S. Military Families, funded by the U.S. Department of Defense Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) General Library Program, and Coast Guard Mutual Assistance (CGMA), is a program that provides on-demand, online tutoring and homework help at no cost to eligible service members, civilian personnel, and their dependents.
